FIMIN CREDIT LINE IMPLEMENTATION

 

The National Energy Finance - FEN, in the process of implementation of the Facility for Mining Operations - FIMIN, INGETEC consultant hired to perform the technical design and environmental access to mining claims. The Mining Direction commented on the documents submitted by the consultant thus supporting the implementation of this initiative successfully. Similarly, the FEN reported that the credit line may also finance activities related to mining construction materials in the event that they are bound for the energy sector entities.

NOW THEY ARE 39 THE ENGINES OF THE MINING COLOMBIA

 

The year 2010 received to the Policy of Productivity and Competitiveness of the Mining Colombian Sector with 8 new Mining Districts (DM), in the departments of Cordoba, Cundinamarca, Guajira, Nariño, Risaralda, To stop and Cauca, the latter Indigene Special District.

From this year they will be 39 the engines entrusted to make real the Mining Colombia with responsible development, advancing correctly with the policies raised by the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) and for the Program of Accompaniment of the Mining Districts of the country - Foundation for the Development of the Quindío (FDQ)-, actions that will be projected in the development of the small and medium mining industry of Colombia.

The decision to add 8 new DM was motivated by a series of commitments acquired by the National Government, as well as by the requests raised by different governments and mayoralties, which saw in the Model of Management of the DM an excellent opportunity to develop the mining industry in their regions.

Nariño's department was one of the first ones in initiating the process, with a workshop of socialization realized on Tuesday, the 9th of March in the audience of the Departmental Government, that in a compound way, the participants decided to be call Andean South Mining District.

The presentation of the Model of Management, the company of the Agreement of Wills on the part of the territorial entities, the conformation of the Council of Sustainable Competitiveness and the opening inscription to do part of the Networks of Management of the new District, did part of the agenda of the event.

The following day, the department of the Risaralda there initiated activities with the socialization of the Model of Management of the Mining Districts of the country, celebrated in an event on Wednesday, the 10th of March in the audience Gonzalo Vallejo of the Departmental Government.

The Risaralda’s Governor, Victor Manuel Tamayo Vargas, made the open remarks of the workshop, which assembled near hundred (100) assistants between delegates of the Government and of the municipalities who do part of the DM, representatives of the Regional Council Indigenous to the Risaralda (CRIR), environmental authorities, universities, Familiar Well-being, producers and mining community in general.

As the same of Nariño and Risaralda, other six departments in which there were established the new engines of the Policy of Productivity and Competitiveness of the Mining Colombian Sector have initiated the process of socialization and levelling, in order of reaching the level of other Districts of the country.

This addition, which represents for the Mining Districts of the country and for the human team that every day is employed at their development a stage of big efforts, learning’s and challenges, they are constituted in a sample of the relevancy that has come acquiring, national and internationally, this model of management of the mining industry.

 

SURVEYS OF PERCEPTION

 

The Department of Mines and Energy permits to inform that the company YANHAAS, with which there signed the Contract GC 54 of 2009, will realize interviews attend them and telephonic surveys in order to know the perception of the users of the steps who are carried out in the mining institution (Ministry of Mines and Energy, Ingeominas, Representative Governments and UPME) with regard to the quality of the received services.

 

MINING FAIR 2010

 

Of the 29 to the 31 of July of 2010 The Ministry of Mines and Energy, Ingeominas and The International Centre of Businesses and Exhibitions Corferias, will realize this event specializing directed to companies of teams, services, machinery and consumable for the Exploration, Exploitation and Transformation of mining products like Coal, metallic minerals, mining products non metallic, minerals and precious rocks.

THE MINING DISTRICT OF TAMBO-BUENOS AIRES JOY OF THE FIRST WORKSHOP ON OPPORTUNITIES TRASNFORMACION CONFLICT OF CHANGE

 

Last Thursday 15 April at the Ministry of Agriculture in the city of Popayan, held the first workshop on conflict transformation, called "Yesterday a conflict, today an opportunity for change."

The workshop taught by political scientist Ana Maria Rodriguez Contreras, aimed to improve the theoretical understanding of the basic concepts of conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation to understand public attitudes and behaviours as opportunities for change and development.

The workshop was conducted through the coordination of Luis Fernando Ordóñez Coordinator, Promoter of the Mining District of Buenos Aires Tambo who called Ingeominas officials, the Governor of Cauca, SENA, and a brick of Pueblillo, consultants of the Corporation Kasa Kiwe and members of the Association of Pueblillo brick.

Throughout the workshop, taught communication skills as the foundation of conflict resolution and developed a series of experiential education dynamics that resulted in a workshop dynamic, successful and practical in this mining district.

 

PROCESS OF BIDDING No.2 OF 2010 TO PROMOTE AND TO STRENGTHEN THE ASOCIATION IN THE MINING DISTRICTS

 

The Ministry of Mines and Energy is advancing the process of bidding No. 02 of 2010, the object to contract is "the accomplishment, social and environmental of the managerial, technical diagnosis, with base in which it is necessary to establish a Plan of Improvement and later accompaniment in the implementation of the above mentioned Plan, the associative groups that legally develop the mining activity, of small and medium scales of production, located and identified in the Mining Districts of Cundinamarca's departments, Bolivar, Boyacá, Cauca, North of Santander, Antioquia and Tolima" related in the attached sheets.

We invite the natural and juridical persons to have interest to present offers in order that they consult the chronogram and the conditions there established.

Unfortunately, for the 2010 version of these awards has not been possible to awaken the vital interest among employers in our sector, for reasons to be an opportunity to review in some detail during our 12th Annual Meeting in Cartagena de Indias mayo/10.
